Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Milwaukee, WI

Level III Trauma Center, Magnet Designation, Comprehensive Stroke Center

General Information :

  • Rooms : 5
  • Accepting Travelers : Yes, including first-time travelers with IR experience
  • Patient Types : Adults only, no pediatrics

Skills and Experience Required :

  • Previous experience in IR and Neuro-endovascular preferred
  • Licensure : RN with WI License, BLS certification
  • Techs : ARRT, BLS certification
  • Skills : Scrubbing and panning simultaneously, familiarity with IR procedures
  • Preferred : Experience with charging / coding for procedures
  • EMR : EPIC
  • Equipment : Siemens and GE, MedRad injector, IVUS, Ultrasound (GE), Laser, Bovie, Angiojet
  • Medication dispensing : Pyxis, IV pumps : Alaris, PACS : Change Healthcare

    • Orientation and Scheduling :

  • Orientation with preceptor for 1-2 weeks
  • Weekend rotation with call required
  • On-call schedule : Weekday and weekend rotations
  • Response time : 30 minutes
