We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Virtual School Psychologist to join our team as an independent contractor.
Position Overview: As a Virtual School Psychologist with VocoVision, you will offer essential psychological services to students throughout Minnesota in a virtual capacity. This 1099 contract position allows for flexibility while enabling you to make a significant impact on students' lives. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address a range of psychological and educational concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to identify and address students' psychological and educational needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services through a secure teletherapy platform.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies, behavioral plans, and support plans tailored to individual students.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in creating effective educational plans.
- Maintain thorough and confidential records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in school psychology and teletherapy.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Active Minnesota State License as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting with a strong understanding of school psychology practices.
- Comfortable using virtual communication platforms and teletherapy tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with diverse student populations and special education processes.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to student-centered support.
