As a Pediatric Float Pool RN, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients across various units, including the Behavioral Unit (as a Medical Pediatric Nurse with no psych responsibilities). This role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Float to all pediatric locations, delivering compassionate and comprehensive nursing care.
- Provide care to pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions in inpatient settings.
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests per physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patients conditions, responding promptly to changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
- BLS and PALS certifications required.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to float to various pediatric units as needed.
