Position Overview :
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Virtual School Social Workers for the 2024 / 2025 school year. This role involves providing essential social work services to students in a virtual setting, addressing various needs and supporting their overall well-being. The ideal candidates will have a passion for making a difference in students' lives through remote work for a school district in Illinois.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide virtual social work services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and facilitate programs aimed at improving students' social skills, coping mechanisms, and academic performance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Participate in virtual meetings with school staff and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents on social and emotional development and mental health issues.
