Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Med/Surg Step-Down RN for a 13-week assignment in Rome, NY. Rome, NY, is a historic city located in central New York, offering a blend of small-town charm and access to outdoor recreation. With nearby state parks, museums, and cultural attractions, Rome provides a great balance between work and leisure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a step-down/telemetry setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- 1-2 years of recent step-down/telemetry experience required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience with Paragon EMR and Pyxis preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
