We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome communication and language challenges, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with various speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for supporting students' communication skills.
- Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, if necessary.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly.
- Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff regarding speech and language strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children with speech and language disorders.
