Baker

As a Full-Time Baker at Sunbird, you will play a key role in preparing and baking our pastries, including donuts, muffins, cookies, and other delightful treats. You'll be responsible for executing prep for our established recipes and ensuring that our pastry case is fully stocked with fresh, high-quality products during our hours of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake pastries (donuts, muffins, cookies, etc.) from scratch following established recipes
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace
• Execute daily prep for baking operations
• Ensure the pastry case is stocked and ready for service
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Handle ingredients and tools efficiently
• Ensure consistency and quality in every baked good
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operation

What We're Looking For:

• A love of food, especially baked goods
• A desire to learn and grow in the culinary field
• Ability to follow recipes with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic: dependable, reliable, consistent, and proactive
• Ability to think quickly and solve problems as they arise
• Able to work on your feet for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs
• Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not required
• Ability to take and implement feedback positively
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes early mornings and weekends

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
