The Role :

We're looking for a Director, Marketing Automation to lead our marketing efforts across email, SMS, and push notifications using tools like Stripo, Iterable, and Tray.io. You’ll bring a mix of creativity and technical know-how to drive automation, performance, and personalized campaigns. You’ll work closely with both marketing and creative teams to deliver meaningful campaigns that connect with our audience.

What You'll Own :

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a forward-thinking database marketing strategy to drive engagement, retention, and conversion across email, SMS, and push notification channels.
  • Lifecycle Campaign Innovation : Design and oversee automated, personalized lifecycle marketing campaigns that nurture relationships and address the unique needs of both customers and merchant partners.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of email marketing specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Tech Stack Management : Utilize a robust marketing technology stack, including Stripo for design, Iterable for marketing automation, and Tray.io for integrations and advanced workflows.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineers : Work closely with data engineers to integrate and analyze data, enabling enhanced segmentation, personalization, and campaign performance tracking.
  • Creative and Technical Collaboration : Partner with the in-house creative team to produce compelling content and ensure seamless execution of technically advanced campaigns.
  • Technical Expertise : Leverage coding experience (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, or similar) to customize and optimize marketing automation workflows.
  • Data-Driven Optimization : Analyze campaign performance, run A / B tests, and use data insights to continuously optimize campaigns for ROI.
  • Compliance and Standards : Ensure all campaigns adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR) and maintain industry best practices.
  • Reporting and Insights : Deliver clear, actionable reports to senior leadership, providing insights into campaign effectiveness and strategic recommendations.

What You Bring To The Table :

  • 10 years of experience in marketing automation, email marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience managing email, SMS, and push notification campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, preferably Iterable, and familiarity with Stripo and Tray.io.
  • Previous coding experience (HTML, JavaScript, or similar) highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data for strategic decision-making.
  • Expertise in lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Experience working closely with data engineers to drive insights and optimize performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA).
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in fintech or financial services is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
