What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer/Shop Assistant - Shutters and Blinds position at Sunburst Shutters?
Sunburst Shutters sells and installs interior shutters and window treatments. We are seeking a detail oriented, self-starting individual with general workmanship skills to assist our install team with installation of our products in customer's homes and work in our warehouse on shutter assembly operations.
Responsibility
- Help lead installer with installation of interior shutters, blinds and barn doors
- Receive product shipments
- Frame and hinge shutters
- Follow installation schedule and ensure shutter prep is completed on time
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness
- Monthly inventory
- Maintain product supplies as needed
- Stage product for installers
Abilities and Experience
- Prior general workmanship skills a plus, but willing to train
- Friendly and courteous with all types of people
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Use of basic tools (cordless drill, table saw and chop saw)
- Ability to use pallet jack
- Lift up to 75 lbs (occasionally)
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check as required by Big Box stores
