Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Lead Structural Engineer located in Minneapolis, MN. The Assistant Lead Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing calculations, structural analysis, and structural engineering to develop aluminum deck solutions for multi-family housing projects. You may also oversee various projects of all sizes and types, including aluminum decks and railings, aluminum and steel connections within deck systems, as well as external engineering projects, primarily utilizing wood, steel, and concrete. You will collaborate with the lead structural engineer to ensure technical excellence, work with Engineers in Training, and manage the project team and schedule to achieve successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Calculations, Structural Analysis, and Structural Engineering
- Expertise in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in structural design and analysis
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
- A desire to contribute to the growth of the external structural engineering arm within the company
