What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawn Care Technician position at SunCo?
Do you enjoy spending your days outdoors? Then we have the job for you! We’re looking for a few lawn care application technicians who aren’t afraid to get their hands (and feet) dirty to help with our expanding customer base!
As our lawn care tech, you’ll be responsible for making sure our clients’ lawns are always looking their best! Whether it’s aerating, fertilizing, spraying weeds, or just giving the grass a good pep talk, you’ll be the one to make it happen.
We are looking for a Lawn Care Technician to join our AMAZING SunCo Family! We are a family owned company in business for over 30 years. We are growing because customers like us and fortunately so do our employees! Employees appreciate our work schedule, our organization, and our communication. Several employees have referred their family and friends to work at SunCo and some who have left for a "better" opportunity come back and share it is much better working at SunCo! At SunCo, we work hard but we don't work you to death. We normally like to have everyone back to the shop by 5 and rarely work weekends.
This is a full time position in our Turf division, you won't get shuffled around, unless you Need/Want more hours. We try not to schedule overtime (or weekends) but if we have to, you will be paid overtime wages.Hourly employee incentives are available such as savings match, paid holidays and referral bonuses, with full time employees being able to have health insurance, guaranteed off season work, and lots of other benefits.
No prior lawn care experience required – well teach you everything you need to know (except how to talk to plants, that’s a gift.) Have experience? Well take that too!
REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid Driver’s License with Reliable transportation to shop
· Ability to communicate comfortably with customers
· Ability to lift 50lb bags in the back of a truck.
· Operate tools & machine to include a spreader, aerator, and company vehicle
· Task focused and results driven mindset.
KNOWLEDGE:
· Applicator’s license preferred but not required
· Previous lawn care experience preferred but not required.
