POSITION: System Administrator
OVERVIEW: Responsible for managing the company's computer software systems and serving as a backup for managing computer hardware and networking systems. This position reports to the Director of Analytics.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and develop, in conjunction with support from the vendor, the Encompass route accounting system. Understand all facets of the system and how the various components interrelate to ensure the system functions effectively as a whole for the organization. Understand when something is changed in one area how it affects another area.
- Maintain and develop, in conjunction with support from the vendor, other computer software systems. Serve as the technical liaison with Anheuser-Busch corporate systems such as BudNet and M360, and other vendors; establish the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate associated services with the company's overall customer care deliver/system.
- Project manage software implementations, such as system conversions, including overseeing the process from start to finish, tracking objectives, tasks, status, and ensuring deliverables are met from team members. Lead and train users as needed.
- Manage system upgrades for Encompass, including informing users of significant changes and providing resource guides and real time assistance.
- Regularly interact with user departments to a) determine their needs, b) develop management information systems to address these needs within the constraints of available software and hardware, and c) educate users in the proper and effective use of software applications.
- Exploring the capabilities of the Encompass route accounting system and expanding the company’s use of the capabilities through the support of analysts, research, conferences, industry connections, etc.
- Backup the IT Manager In the areas of computer hardware, networking, troubleshooting, etc.
- Participate in the oversight of security policies along with the IT Manager. Assist with the implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures, including training employees.
- In conjunction with the IT Manager, responsible for the development and effective use of policies and computer systems to maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Information Systems or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related job responsibilities with beverage industry experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of computer software systems and how the various fields within the database interrelate and impact various functions within the company.
- Technical knowledge of computer hardware, computer maintenance, and networking.
- Programming experience, including Java, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with SQL reports.
- Experience developing and tailoring a software system to meet a company’s unique needs.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - must have the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills, including ownership of system issues and oversight to completion of user satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical topics to both staff and executive management via training and informational presentations.
- Availability to work on weekends and after hours for system upgrades and issue resolution.
