Job Title : Referral Coordinator
Location : Corporate Office

Job Description : To obtain referrals and authorizations for patient office and procedure visits in a timely manner.
Role and Responsibilities
Administrative
Coordinate referral / authorization for patient appointments
Verify patient insurance coverage
Contact patient insurance and submit appropriate codes if a referral / authorization is needed for the patient appointment
Maintain and update patient medical records, insurance, and demographics
Scheduling patient general dermatology and surgical appointments
Keep track and manage referrals / authorizations daily to ensure active referrals / authorizations are in place for patient general visits and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements :
High school diploma, AA degree or higher. Knowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems, customer service, excellent verbal communication skills. Minimum of 2-3 year experience in a billing or referral coordinator role preferred.
