Suncoast Veterinary Clinic is looking for talented, responsible, enthusiastic person to join our team.
Our practice is looking for motivated, experienced veterinary technician or Certified Veterinary Technician. Full time position in a progressive medical and surgical practice. We have an experienced, long term staff, and are looking for someone with excellent technical and personal skills. Our practice provides excellent care for pets and their owners. We are looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician (or equivalent), or someone with at least 2-3 years of technical experience, especially in surgical monitoring, anesthesia and preparation. We want a person who is a responsible team player. Our practice is small and dedicated to excellent care, so the successful Veterinary Technician candidate will be confident in their technical skills, be flexible, and be able to perform in any situation. Since we are a solo practice, every member of the team is involved with every patient, so all of your technician skills will be utilized.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Veterinarian with surgery and monitoring anesthesia, cleaning and storing surgical instruments when the procedure is over, assisting the Veterinarian in exam rooms, preparing vaccinations and medications, and be proficient in placing IV catheters and responsibly administering anesthetic medications. The Veterinary Technician must be able to draw blood and perform laboratory procedures in our in house laboratory. The Veterinary Technician must also be able to take radiographs.
