ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Warehouse Assistant position works with the Install Manager in our Kingston, NY office as well as Procurement Manager in VT. Responsibilities include receiving materials, unpacking and accurately stocking inventory, picking inventory from our warehouse and packing job trailers, replacing unused materials as needed and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate is able to work efficiently and independently, with an eye for accuracy and safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Warehouse Assistant will:

• Maintain safe and clean working condition of warehouse, loading area, vehicles and trailers
• Create and implement a weekly cleaning schedule for fleet vehicles and the warehouse
• Accurately update and maintain bin locations within the warehouse
• Maintain organization within the warehouse
• Safely load and secure equipment for transportation
• Coordinate receiving of materials
• Support outgoing freight (returns) activities
• Organize each job’s materials in line with our weekly schedule
• Work with the Procurement Manager to develop weekly POs per the job schedule
• Deliver material to work site when needed
• Pick up materials from distributors when needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this position will be have:

• Organization Skills. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities at any given time.
• Experience driving a forklift, or ability to learn
• Current driver's license and clean driving record.
• Minimum age requirement:18

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regular computer work including long hours sitting or standing at a workstation
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, kneel, squat, and climb ladders.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, both inside and outside.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
