What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Estimator position at Suncor Stainless/Atlantis Rail?
The Residential Estimator position is responsible for processing railing system quote requests and providing Atlantis Rail Account Managers and clients with estimates and information regarding Atlantis Rail products. The Estimator/Sales Assistant is a primary point of contact for railing quote activity and a key component of the Atlantis Rail sales and customer service team. Using BlueBeam software, railing estimates include PDF drawing for proper installation, organized take offs of customer projects that accurately represent the customer’s project and coordinate the customer’s desired layout and price point option outcome. During slower times, the Estimator/Sales Assistant will engage in specific estimating tool projects and customer follow-up to help close the quote to an order.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire and maintain proficiency in technical aspects of the product line and acquire the ability to explain and demonstrate products on demand.
- Review and process all correspondence regarding customer quote request.
- Record all customer quote request in appropriate and prescribed data bases.
- Respond to customers with railing take off and estimate and provide information pertaining to estimates provided.
- Provide follow up per prescribed program to for all quotes.
- Assign inquiries and quotes to the appropriate representative for additional follow up and continued servicing.
- Provide general customer and sales support as needs arise.
- Provide back up and support to Sales team as needs arise.
- Facilitate sales by engaging end users and partners with product information.
SKILL AND ABILITIES
- Building products or estimating experience preferred.
- Ability to read architectural plans and blueprints very desirable.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft software skills.
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task without guidance.
- Excellent communication/phone etiquette.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma, College preferred.
- The ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints is a requirement.
- Minimum 2 years building supply or construction estimating experience
- Minimum 3 years customer service experience, hardware or construction products preferred.
- AutoCAD design experience desired
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft software skills.
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
