We are a small design firm specializing in residential and light multi-family design. Established in 2005, we’ve built a great network of clients that grows every year bringing new project opportunities and a need for expanding our team! Our portfolio of work ranges from tiny houses and shops to large custom homes and multi-family dwellings.
The ideal candidate would have a passion for residential design, enthusiasm for helping clients achieve their dream home goals, and a talent for solving design challenges in creative ways. To be successful in this position, the candidate needs to have a strong attention to detail, be able to self-review their work, and complete tasks on schedule. This is a full-time in office position with growth potential and design freedom.
Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Create 3D models to project specifications
- Create working drawings from designers sketches and notes (floor plans, foundation plans, elevations, cross sections, details, and plot plans)
- Produce preliminary sets and final construction documents in a timely and accurate manner
- Add details based on knowledge of building techniques, building codes and site requirements
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high quality and functional design that comply with building codes and meet office standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and new design styles
Qualifications:
- Minimun 3 years of residential drafting experience, specifically with Revit and 3D modeling
- Minimum 1 year Lumion experience
- Ability to produce high quality 3D renderings in color or black and white
- Minimum 1 year experience using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Residential Construction methods and IRC building Codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and readiness to be a team contributor
- Google/Microsoft Suite Proficiency
- Knowledgeable with online meetings and/or screen sharing
- Enjoy problem-solving
- Manage your time well and work efficiently on a deadline
Education Level/Experience:
- AS in Architectural Drafting or related Field such as Interior Design
- Revit 3 years (required)
- Architectural Drafting 3 years (required)
Job Type:
- Full-Time in office (35-40 hours per week with schedule flexibility)
- Monday - Friday
- Weekend overtime available with bonus payouts
Hourly Range:
- $21 - $23, potentially more based on experience
