About the Role:

The Service Manager at Sundance Marine Jensen Beach will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department, focusing on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. This position involves overseeing all aspects of service delivery, including preventive maintenance and repair services for marine vessels. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to handle various boat repair tasks. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with customers to understand their needs and provide timely solutions. Ultimately, the Service Manager will drive the success of the service department by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a service management role preferably within the marine industry or knowledge of marine.
  • Strong knowledge of managing employees and repair order management.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on customer interaction and satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience managing 10 or more employees.
  • Experience with technician efficiency, managing work in process and handling customer servcie issues.
  • Familiarity with service department management software.
  • Typing skills of 60 WPM or greater

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support in building maintenance and marine repair tasks.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce service downtime.
  • Engage with customers to assess their needs, provide estimates, and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor service department performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement.

Skills:

The required skills in building maintenance and electrical troubleshooting are essential for diagnosing and resolving issues that may arise in marine vessels. Daily interactions with customers will leverage strong customer service skills, ensuring that their needs are understood and addressed promptly. The ability to manage a team effectively will utilize leadership skills, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth. Preventive maintenance knowledge will be applied to develop and implement programs that enhance vessel longevity and customer satisfaction. Additionally, familiarity with body shop operations will aid in overseeing comprehensive repair services, ensuring all aspects of service are seamlessly integrated.
