Position Overview:

SunDance is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pouch Line Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining pouch-making equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality flexible packaging. This role requires mechanical aptitude, a strong understanding of production processes, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate pouch-making machinery to produce flexible packaging products according to job specifications.
• Set up machines, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth operation.
• Monitor production quality, ensuring pouches meet required specifications and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machines.
• Conduct quality checks, including visual inspections, measurements, and leak tests.
• Maintain accurate production records, documenting output, downtime, and adjustments.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors and quality assurance personnel.
• Assist in material handling, loading rolls, and preparing raw materials for production.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or material defects.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience operating pouch-making machines or similar converting equipment is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing and production environment.
• Knowledge of flexible packaging, including materials, sealing, and cutting techniques, is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed.

Required Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and maneuver materials and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and perform tasks requiring precision and control.
• Visual acuity to inspect finished products for quality and detect any defects or imperfections.
