Position Overview:
The Solventless Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the solventless laminating machine. The operator ensures the efficient and safe production of high-quality laminated materials by closely monitoring the machine's performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing regular maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and/or monitor Presses, laminators etc.
- Review job ticket, dylux, HP or previous printed sample for finishing specifications.
- Deliver completed project to next operation.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
- Instructing and monitoring of temporary personnel on equipment along with maintaining a clean work area.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in the operation of finishing equipment and/or Flexo presses
- Experience in a printing environment or die cutting foil stamping, UV coating, and laminating.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver materials and stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and perform tasks requiring precision and control.
- Visual acuity to inspect finished products for quality and detect any defects or imperfections.
