Key Responsibilities
Service & Hospitality Leadership
- Lead and inspire a professional service team, fostering a culture of excellence in hospitality and service standards.
- Provide hands-on training, daily coaching, and oversight to enhance guest experiences.
- Ensure seamless, high-quality service by guiding the team in guest engagement, anticipating needs, and executing every detail to Sundance standards.
- Act as a visible presence, personally greeting and seating at least 80% of guests during peak periods.
- Ensure staff has comprehensive knowledge of menus, wine pairings, resort details, and service protocols to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain pristine and well-organized dining areas, enforcing completion of side work and cleaning schedules.
- Oversee and own all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during shifts.
- Develop and manage team schedules to align with business needs, ensuring full coverage and proper staffing.
- Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training process for new team members.
- Oversee reservation systems, manage guest profiles, and ensure seamless booking experiences.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with UDABS and state liquor laws, providing training and ensuring all records are up to date.
- Conduct performance evaluations and complete necessary HR documentation in compliance with state and company policies.
- Assist in budget creation and management, controlling costs while maintaining profitability.
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of restaurant supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on menu development, wine lists, and guest feedback initiatives.
- Maintain a keen understanding of financial performance, implementing strategies to optimize sales, labor costs, and overall profitability.
- 2-4 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality, wine, spirits, and beer.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Must have (or obtain within 30 days of employment) a current food handler's permit.
- Must have (or obtain within 30 days) TIPS & SIPS alcohol service certification.
- Ability to pass UDABC background check and submit fingerprints for liquor license representation.
- Must be 21 years old and possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
