Job Overview
Here at Sundance we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, home health environments, and pediatric facilities. Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of anatomy and physiology will be essential in helping patients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in outpatient settings, home health care, clinics, or pediatrics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to occupational therapy practices.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- A commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
