MIS Estimating Pricing Director

Role Overview:

SunDance is seeking a highly skilled MIS/Estimating/Pricing Director to take on a critical role in our organization. This position reports directly to the president and is key to driving the company forward by refining pricing strategies, improving cost structures, and streamlining processes. You will play a vital role in shaping the efficiency of our production for packaging solutions, including flexible packaging, stand-up pouches, folding cartons, and labels. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in estimating, pricing, and familiarity with Printing ERP systems. Knowledge of ePS Tharstern and/or PrintFlow is highly advantageous.

This role is 100% in-office, available for immediate hire, and relocation assistance will be provided for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Create and refine detailed cost estimates for print and packaging projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
• Evaluate project requirements to determine the most efficient production methods, identifying opportunities to optimize costs.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and timelines.
• Stay informed on industry developments, including packaging trends and advancements in technology and materials.
• Partner with sales and client services teams to provide accurate pricing support and competitive quotes.
• Leverage historical data to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation processes.
• Participate in client discussions to offer expertise and support on complex or custom packaging and printing projects.
• Oversee and learn commercial estimating processes as needed, with training provided.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in estimating, pricing, or a similar role within the printing or packaging industry, including expertise in flexible packaging, stand-up pouches, folding cartons, and labels.
• Proficiency in Printing ERP systems is required; familiarity with ePS Tharstern and/or PrintFlow is a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of printing processes and packaging materials.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to project planning and execution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; advanced degrees or certifications are an asset.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
