Hotel Chelsea is now hiring Hosts for Café Chelsea at the Hotel Chelsea. We are looking for experienced hospitality professionals to join our team. We are currently focused on candidates wtih full-time availability and a minimum of 2 years experience in fine dining restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels, or equivalent.

About This Role
Hosts are responsible for providing warm hospitality to guests, managing reservations and walk-in diners, helping to facilitate the flow of service throughout the night, and maintain a general command of the food and beverage menu. Hosts will work to provide impeccable hospitality to each of our clients, working specifically with each individual need to curate the best experience possible.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greets guests and directs them to tables
- Takes walk in reservations, figuring out the best way to seat guests
- Sends walk ins to the bar or maintains a waitlist when necessary
- Constantly communicates table status with guests
- Coordinates large party reservations, private dining requests, or special circumstances with management
- Minimum of 2 years’ front of house experience in fine dining restaurants, cocktail bars, hotels, or equivalent
- A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional hospitality service
- A strong working knowledge of various reservations software
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 30lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
