Overview
We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Barista / Server / Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for crafting beverages (coffee / libations) as well as ice cream creations and maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food handling guidelines.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and alcohol consumption.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service for all customers.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, specifically Aloha POS is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink recipes accurately.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food service or café settings is a plus but not required.
