Electrician

Sunderland Electric is a rapidly growing company seeking licensed electricians for full-time commercial work in the New Haven and Hartford areas.

Lots of room for growth and promotion from within the company for dedicated applicants. We are happy to provide on the job training and offsite training for employees looking to grow in the trade. [Fire alarm, data, PLC programming, foreman training, project management, estimating etc.]

We are currently at our max for registering apprentices. We are not accepting applications for apprentices at this time.

About the Position:

We are looking for electricians to join our team for current and upcoming projects, such as:

• Industrial fuel plant in New Haven: rigid conduit, explosion proof motors, LED lighting and motor control
• Multiple unit apartment buildings in Hartford and New Haven (some maintenance, new units and new buildings)
• West Haven VA Hospital (commercial work, conduit bending, lighting)
• Major retailers across Connecticut (sound system installations)
• Various other types of commercial clients
• Low voltage wiring, Cat 6 cabling, Fire alarm wiring.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Installing power supply wiring and conduit (EMT and Rigid)
• Troubleshooting and reading blueprints
• Running MC cable, wiring outlets, and lighting fixtures
• Wiring residential units in romex cable
• Installing transformers, switchgear and panels

• Is a licensed, experienced electrician who is eager to grow

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
