Imaging Optics Sales Engineer - San Diego, CA

Sunex has an immediate opening for Optical Sales Engineer who will report to VP of Sales and Markets in our Carlsbad, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Work with potential customers/partners to identify suitable imaging optics solutions
• Participate in trade-shows and generate new sales leads
• Contribute to group technical and sales activities/goals
• Inside Sales and Applications Sales Engineering; Recommend and provide product information/samples to partners/customers
• Perform sales functions including visiting customers on site, providing quotations and close sales

Requirements:

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

• BS or MS degree in optics, EE or physics with optics or imaging concentration
• Solid background in imaging optics and general knowledge of digital imaging systems. Proficiency with Code V or Zemax software is preferred.
• Project management and overseas travel experience a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to take on new challenges and to grow with our company.
• A team player in an entrepreneurial environment

Additional details:

• Up to 25% travel, domestic US and international (Asia and Europe)
