Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Technical Auditor III at our Leawood, KS location.
The Technical Auditor III is a subject matter expert in conducting technology audits, identifying process and control gaps, ensuring compliance with policies, and knowledge of IT industry risk and control frameworks. This role will support and exercise considerable judgment to make decisions in the technology audit function by performing detailed audit work and providing recommendations for process improvements. The position is for an individual contributor within the Internal Audit Organization that reports directly to the IT Audit Manager. This position is responsible for developing and executing plans to test key controls in place to mitigate significant risks facing the Bank or to quantify the impact in areas where controls do not exist. The position is also responsible for providing consultation to management during application onboarding and integration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for testing, evaluating, documenting (test procedures, results, and conclusions), and reporting on the design and operating effectiveness of information technology general controls.
- Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
- Document IT control deficiencies and control improvement recommendations identified during the audit.
- Obtaining responses to the audit findings and ensuring the responses address the identified control / process deficiencies.
- Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable company, department and professional standards.
- Identifies technology and cybersecurity control risks to improve process effectiveness.
- Identifies risks associated with new technology.
- Participating in department initiatives to further develop the Internal Audit function.
- Participate in an advisory capacity in project teams elsewhere in the Bank, including systems or operational implementation projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned
