Job Title: Teacher - CTE 971 "Add-On" Endorsement
Job Summary:
A dedicated educator is needed to deliver Level I Construction Core and Level II Carpentry content to high school students, promoting their intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with the carpentry industry, staying up-to-date on current trends to ensure relevant methods and techniques are used.
- Assist in recruiting students for the program.
- Help with student registration and pre-registration.
- Follow an approved course of study and lesson plans.
- Prepare classroom, technology-enriched, and skill-attainment instruction.
- Supervise students in the lab area, including concept maps and evaluation.
- Attend faculty meetings and trainings, both on-site and off-site.
- Communicate with the CTE Director and other instructors regarding student concerns and issues.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy.
- Implement the district's philosophy on education and instructional goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
- Current and valid 5-year standard Teaching License in Mississippi.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience.
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and community.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds.
