About the Position
The Library Media Center Director will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive library media program that supports student learning and achievement.
- Develop and implement a long-range plan for the library media program, aligned with district goals and objectives.
- Manage the selection, acquisition, and maintenance of library materials, including books, digital resources, and multimedia assets.
- Develop and implement instructional programs to promote literacy, research skills, and information literacy among students, teachers, and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into curriculum design and instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of library circulation, attendance, and inventory.
- Provide technical support for audiovisual equipment and technology integration in the library and classrooms.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and community members regarding library services and resources.
