What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat and Seafood Department position at Sunflower Market?
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensuring the department is well stocked and rotated.
- Creating visual arrangements for displays and ensuring all pricing and signage is correct.
- Keeping the department clean and organized, including washing displays and cleaning up spills.
- Checking inventory for damage and freshness.
- Removing expired products from displays.
- Wrapping, cutting, packaging and merchandising products.
- Answering customer questions about origins, taste, seasonality, and availability
Requirements and Qualifications
· Consistently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
· Consistently stand and walk for extended periods of time, and work in cold and wet conditions.
· Bend and reach products on lower or higher shelves.
· Ability to bend, squat, twist and reach.
· Knowledge of organic, natural, and NON-GMO.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple demands and remain calm under pressure.
· Ability to have schedule reflect the needs of the business.
