JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team at an I-502 processor. We are seeking a responsible, safe, and professional driver who is knowledgeable about cannabis. As a Delivery Driver, you will be representing our company when delivering products to retail stores across Washington State.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely deliver product to retail stores
- Serve as a liaison between the stores and our company, answering questions and relaying information back to your supervisor
- Conduct a final check of manifests to ensure accuracy
- Collect and verify proper payment from retailers
- Return payments to the office at the end of each day
- Maintain the company vehicle in good condition
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle
- Adhere to company operating policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, presentable appearance and ensure safety at all times
- Secure the vehicle and cargo properly
- Refuel the vehicle as needed
- Follow all traffic rules and regulations
- Track mileage and upcoming service requirements
- Schedule oil changes and regular maintenance for the vehicle
- Inspect the delivery vehicle daily for any issues and report abnormalities
- Report any accidents or vehicle issues to the supervisor
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
Responsibilities include:
- Driving in various weather conditions
- Exercising judgment to identify unsafe situations and finding safe alternate routes
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and ability to change tires, as well as understanding warning lights, gauges, etc.
- Using various communication methods such as phone, written communication, WhatsApp
- Possibly staying overnight in a hotel depending on delivery schedule
Physical Requirements:
- Using hands and arms, talking, and hearing regularly
- Sitting, standing, walking, and stooping frequently
- Lifting and moving up to ten pounds regularly, up to twenty pounds frequently, and more than forty pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Driving for up to 10 hours during a shift
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable driving in congested city environments
- Knowledgeable about cannabis and our products to answer questions and represent the company effectively
- Ability to read maps, written directions, and use GPS
- Knowledgeable with Google Drive
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must be 21 years old to work on an i-502 farm
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:
- High school diploma
Required Licenses and Certificates:
- Valid US Driver's License
Hours and Compensation:
- Starting pay of $18 per hour, Monday-Friday availability required
- Overtime pay of 1.5x for more than 40 hours per week
