Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Foreman to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both low and high voltage electrical systems, a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), and leadership skills to effectively manage and supervise electrical projects. This role involves overseeing residential and commercial installations and renovations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations on all electrical projects.
- Manage and coordinate tasks for multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems and equipment when required.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to less experienced electricians and apprentices.
- Utilize power tools and logic controllers effectively for complex installations and renovations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and work performed to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and job site progress.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to provide updates and address any issues that arise during the course of the project.
- Monitor work practices to ensure safety standards are followed and work areas remain clean and organized.
Skills
- Extensive experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its application in various settings.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams of electricians.
- Experience with logic controllers and their applications in electrical systems.
- Ability to use power tools and other specialized electrical equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical systems and equipment.
