Repair Welder-2nd Shift

Job Summary:

Repair welder Performs duties of in line welder, including but not limited to welding an internal cover weld on various weldments, inspection of all prior welds on product, and repair welding in line as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling.

Manual MIG repair welds a variety of parts on light and heavy-duty gauge metal (variety of material i.e. mild steel, high strength steels, aluminum, etc.)

Examine and inspect welds to specifications and an aptitude to producing a quality product.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.

Duties

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques
• Operate hand tools and machinery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with various welding processes, including FCAW, MIG, and TIG is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools related to welding and fabrication tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.
