JOB SUMMARY :
Manual loading and unloading of freight with the use of a pallet jack, hand truck or forklift, general labor, and warehouse maintenance. Take full charge of the assigned dock area. Know the proper location and receiving process for all accounts. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Forklift Operator performs to the following tasks :
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or more related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Possess or have ability to become forklift certified
Drivers License or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets.
REASONING ABILITY :
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
