Assembly Team Lead
Sunlight Batteries USA, located in Greensboro, NC, is a new subsidiary of Sunlight Group, a leading worldwide producer of industrial motive power and reserve batteries. The Greensboro facility is under development as primarily an assembly and distribution facility serving North American customers focusing on providing state-of-the-art lead acid and lithium battery products. At full capacity, the facility will employ approximately 50 workers on a three-shift operation.

Assembly Team Lead
He/she will work under the supervision of the warehouse manager to facilitate communication between production, sales, and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.
You must have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendance. This is a plant where new automation is being installed and we are expanding and looking for people who will be able to but are interested in growing into higher-level opportunities as we expand.
Must be able to work well with people, have the willingness to learn new skills and programs, and be able to focus on safety and efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinating Transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movements of shipments.
- Manage finished goods and shipping supplies inventory stock levels.
- Perform daily checks on accessories parts for finished goods.
- Ensure DOT hazmat regulations are up to date.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy, including commercial invoices, IMO, and any other export requirements.
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary and communicating with brokers.
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more organized.
- Preparing Bills of Lading and invoices for customers.
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 65 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to change direction frequently.
- Able to sit at a computer for an extended period.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Requirements:
- Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- You must have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendance.
- Ability to read, monitor and operate complex testing equipment.
- Familiar with using Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Able to work an 8-hour shift, 5 days a week; shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Available to work until the job is completed.
- Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
- Must be able to wear required PPE if/when required.
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test successfully.
- Ability to solve practical problems and fulfill responsibilities under minimal supervision.
- Ability to function as an effective team member.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Experience with small tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment.
- Familiar with SAP ERP Software (MM/WM Modules).
- Previous experience with handling and shipment of Hazardous Materials.
- Preferred degree in supply chain management or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with a TMS system and using 3PL brokerage.
