Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. They will operate warehouse equipment and assist in maintaining the efficient flow of materials through the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receiving Goods: Unload deliveries, inspect items for damages, and verify the accuracy of orders against purchase orders.
· Inventory Management: Organize and store products in the correct locations. Track inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
· Picking and Packing: Retrieve products from storage based on order requirements, prepare items for shipment, and ensure that packages are properly packed and labeled.
· Shipping: Prepare shipments by assembling orders, loading trucks, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
· Warehouse Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse machinery to move products or load/unload trucks.
· Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects, report issues, and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in the warehouse to prevent accidents or injuries.
· General Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of obstructions. Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
· Communication: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus.
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
· Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
· Warehouse environments, which may include exposure to temperature variations, noise, and physical demands.
· Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, or overtime during peak seasons.
This role requires a mix of physical labor, attention to detail, and organizational skills to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse.
