Warehouse Operator
For our new battery assembly plant in Greensboro NC, we are hiring a Warehouse Operator. The Warehouse operator will work under immediate supervision to ship, receive, maintain, and store raw materials and finished goods inventory.
You must have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendance. This is a new facility with new state of the art battery manufacturing assembly and formation equipment, and we are looking for people who will start in the entry level positions but are interested in growing into higher level opportunities as we expand.
Primary Duties
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
Able to change direction frequently.
Position Responsibilities
Is responsible for the proper reception and arrangement of incoming materials and end products in storage areas in a way that ensures the integrity of the material itself and other materials, as well as the safety of the areas and the persons working there.
Fills in the material receiving report (MRR) which is then communicated to the department head, the head of the accounting department, as well as the head of quality control for incoming materials.
Is responsible for the loading, unloading, and dispatching of materials and products within the storage areas, as well as outside these areas so that they can be forwarded to production or to the customer.
Delivers to the production departments any required materials that have been requested through a material requisition form.
Receives and arranges any materials returned from the production departments.
Reports to his/her supervisor on the movement of materials and products in the warehouse and notifies him/her of any problems that may arise.
Coordinates the loading and unloading of trucks.
The Warehouse Operator might be assigned additional duties and responsibilities on the instructions of his/her supervisor to cover extraordinary and unforeseen needs.
Job Requirements:
Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Basic math, reading and writing skills.
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in manufacturing or similar industry
Able to work an 8-hour shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 5 days a week.
Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
Must be able to wear required PPE.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience with small tools, pallet jack, forklifts, reach trucks or other material handling equipment.
Familiar with SAP ERP Software
Previous experience with handling and shipment of Hazardous Materials
