Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Ski and/or Snowboard Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a love for skiing/snowboarding, with the ability to educate and inspire students of all ages and skill levels. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to create a fun and safe learning environment on the slopes.
Duties
- Instruct students in skiing techniques, safety protocols, and mountain etiquette.
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skiing abilities.
- Ensure the safety of all students during lessons by enforcing safety guidelines.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages students to challenge themselves and improve.
- Collaborate with other instructors to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
- Maintain equipment and ensure that all gear is in good working condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong ability to educate others, with experience in related fields such as Childcare, Lifeguard training, or martial arts (Karate, Judo).
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties effectively on the slopes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
- A background in sports such as Gym, Basketball, or climbing is advantageous.
- Certification from a recognized ski instructor program is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to pursue certification is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
