Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing their behavior and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Administer CPR or first aid when necessary, ensuring immediate response in emergency situations.
- Document patient observations and care provided accurately for ongoing assessment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or memory care needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and patient monitoring techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- CPR certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Ability to assist clients physically as needed, including lifting or transferring individuals safely.
