We are a growing private practice specializing in speech therapy and are excited to expand into ABA therapy. This position will start as part-time and turn into full-time as services become established. We are looking for a passionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help us build out our ABA department while maintaining the exceptional quality of care that Sunlight Speech is known for.
Position Overview
As a BCBA at Sunlight Speech, LLC, you will play a key role in establishing and growing our ABA program. You will provide clinical supervision to registered behavior technicians, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children with a variety of needs. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy, while also supporting a compassionate and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and FBA).
- Provide direct and indirect supervision to registered behavior technicians and other staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles.
- Collaborate with the speech therapy team to ensure coordinated care for clients.
- Lead the development and growth of the ABA department at Sunlight Speech, LLC.
- Maintain client records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide training and support for staff on ABA principles and interventions.
- Ensure effective communication with clients and families, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Foster a culture of compassion, understanding, and respect among staff, clients, and families.
- Train and support caregivers in implementing behavior strategies effectively.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
- Supervisory experience in ABA, particularly with managing a team of behavior technicians.
- Master's degree or higher in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active Florida state licensure as a BCBA.
- Experience with assessments and creating individualized treatment plans.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals, including speech therapists, to ensure holistic care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to the highest ethical standards and quality of care.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in program development and working with children with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
- Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and treatment models.
