Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly, two- client payrolls.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and taxes, ensuring adherence to state tax regulations and timely submission of payroll reports and tax filings.
- Accurately calculate and track employee commissions based on established compensation plans, ensuring all eligible earnings are paid.
- Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to validate commission data and ensure timely and accurate payouts.
- Maintain detailed records of commission payments, adjustments, and approvals to ensure compliance and recordkeeping.
- Manage workers' compensation compliance, including claims management and annual audits.
- Facilitate annual 401(k) audits by preparing necessary documentation, collaborating with auditors, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including retirement plans, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage employee benefits and insurance plans, conveying benefit information to employees and updating them on any changes.
- Oversee the administration of pay/benefits related to resignations, terminations, leaves (with/without pay), and death benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Collaborate with HR Manager on maternity and parental leave programs to ensure accurate documentation, payroll implementation, and employee communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Provide documentation and reports as requested for audits and accounting purposes.
- Submit government statistics reports including EEO, unemployment insurance, OSHA, and other state agencies requesting statistical employment and payroll data.
- Verify end of year W2 payroll processing is accurate.
- Input and maintain employee data in the HRIS ensuring data integrity.
- Take on additional tasks and duties as assigned by the HR Manager to support overall HR functions.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll management or benefits administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in payroll (e.g., CPP) or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Starting Salary at ~$58K/year with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
