The Account Service Specialist develops and maintains working relationships with customer contacts at various levels in the organization and serves as a focal point for customer inquiries and requests. The Account Service Specialist facilitates new business opportunities with existing customers, conducts quotation process, and ensures purchase order execution and product delivery.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages customer accounts as primary point of contact for inquiries relating to serving the customer’s product needs.
- Facilitates new business opportunities within existing customer base and ensures accurate pricing for each customer.
- Reviews customer forecasts reports as needed to release, reschedule, expedite, or cancel purchase orders to ensure optimum inventory levels and to satisfy customer tubing requirements.
- Responds to customer inquiry for quotes, order entry and invoicing.
- Builds strong customer relationships to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assists in the training of new employees.
- Handles all facets of any account, including major/complex accounts with limited management intervention.
- Expands the numbers of contacts within accounts to include higher management and cross-functional contacts within Quality, Engineering, R & D, Manufacturing and Marketing, when necessary.
- Serve as liaison between manufacturing, customers, and quality to ensure smooth and accurate deliveries
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree – Recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Positive attitude and team player
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadline
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week
Physical Demands:
