Starting pay $140-155k annually, commensurate with experience.
The Vice President of Brand and Marketing will support organizational goals in the following areas:
Brand Strategy & Awareness
Leads in the development of strategic positioning for the Sunmark brand that powerfully differentiates our presence in the minds of consumers, members, and businesses.
Ensures our brand positioning generates demand and interest among consumers and that the brand’s relevance grows over time.
Identifies and prioritizes short- and long-term objectives supporting the brand strategy. Acts as a liaison to other functional areas to ensure department business objectives are aligned with fulfilling the brand strategy.
Measures the effectiveness with the brand by evaluating performance with increasing market share through organic growth (member acquisition & member retention) and profitability (member engagement & share of wallet). Evaluates brand awareness and perception within target markets both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Member Experience
Ensures we offer a consistent experience to members across all delivery channels & touchpoints. Creates multichannel campaigns designed to enhance the Sunmark experience among different member audiences, including new members, existing members, merger members, and members engaging with different loan products.
Identifies a roadmap outlining how to close the gap between current state and future state as it relates to member experience and engagement. Identifies and recommends innovative solutions and process improvements to allow us to be agile.
Channel Delivery
Works in close partnership with the Chief Member Experience Officer to align delivery of all service, including financial centers, member solution center, and digital banking.
Identifies improvement opportunities to keep pace with technology advancements and evolving member expectations.
Identifies and recommends technology and functionality improvements, monitoring how our channels are delivering to the preferences of members based upon member feedback.
Works closely with Human Resources to coach, train and develop staff to embody cultural values and brand expectations to create a consistent experience for our members regardless of the channel the member is working within.
Marketing
Oversees marketing strategy, budgeting, and reporting. Functions of marketing include brand management, advertising, direct & indirect marketing, promotions, campaigns, digital marketing (web, social media, SEO, SEM, etc.), member communication and public relations.
Leads the strategic development of Sunmark’s marketing plans and creative services to attract, retain, provide solutions for, and build broad and deep relationships with members.
Product Management
Assists product management through market analysis, competitive positioning, product development, marketing, and sales enablement.
Helps product management by identifying best intersections of target audience needs and amplifying product advantages.
Assesses relevance and profitability of current products and determining future product mix.
Community Engagement/Sunmark Foundation
Serves as an active board member of the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation. Drives support of initiatives and events from a leadership perspective. Promotes Foundation activities to both Sunmark members and the overall communities we serve.
People & Organizational Management
Leverages extensive leadership and management skills with a focus on creating high-performing teams throughout the credit union.
Models Sunmark cultural values and leadership competencies, providing guidance and motivating others to work well together in accomplishing the team’s purpose and objectives.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher, with a minimum of 5 years marketing experience OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with a minimum of 7 years experience. Prior supervisory experience, with the proven ability to motivate, develop and to work in a team environment.

Salary : $140,000 - $155,000
