Job Description
Perform the duties required to make solid parts from a liquid metal that are the same size and shape of drawings supplied.
Essential Functions
· Operate die cast machines to make stone holders according to work instructions.
· Place zinc bars into melting pot to maintain proper level.
· Deliver stacks of zinc bars from stock to Die Cast department.
· Change die per set-up and clean machine.
· Re-melt scrap from break-off parts to utilize all available materials.
· Remove die from trim press.
· Set up and clean punch press.
· Break off parts by hand or punch press.
· Operate automatic machine in department.
Qualifications and Experience
-Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
-Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machining techniques
-Knowledge of quality control procedures and basic math skills
-Experience with stamping presses and materials handling
