What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Sunny Delight Beverage Co?
The Forklift Operator/Line Takeaway Tech will be responsible for loading/unloading trucks in our warehouse, and tracking inventory using our scanning system, removing pallets from the production line using a forklift, placing them in designated warehouse racks with no damage, and perform stocking for palletizers, according to standard procedures. Additional duties include manual product stacking/collation. Must Qualify as a Level 1 Technician within 1 year of hire (with training provided).
All technicians are expected to be engaged in continuous improvement activities, demonstrate initiative to drive such activities, demonstrate ownership of business results, maintain an efficient and professional environment by performing in accordance with our site vision at all times.
Line Take Away Technicians are actively involved in maintaining inventory accuracy and GMP standards, inspect quality of the pallets received and participate in maintenance activities, and reduce property damages through safe practices.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able and willing to submit to and pass a drug screen and physical
- Must be willing to work some Overtime or Weekend Shifts
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
PREFERRED
- FORK TRUCK EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED (minimum 1 yr.)
- Individuals with fork truck and warehouse experience in manufacturing processes including operating and fork trucks, inventory computer systems and product distribution systems should apply in accordance with safety standards.
- Ability to operator palletizers, experience using photo eyes, proxies, machine controls, troubleshooting, etc.
- Possess a strong technical aptitude, proven leadership, problem solving skills, solid interpersonal skills, computer skills (Data Bases, Excel, Word, or equivalent), and ability to work well in a team-based, diverse culture and with experience in warehousing or packing operations.

- Competitive wages starting at $21.42 for entry level; $25.42 after Level 1 training completed.
