Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fashion and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality alterations and custom garment construction. As a Tailor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through your craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Duties

• Perform alterations on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, and casual wear, ensuring a perfect fit for each customer.
• Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations and repairs with precision.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, providing excellent customer service throughout the fitting process.
• Measure clients accurately to determine the necessary adjustments for garments.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are in good condition.
• Assist in garment construction as needed, applying knowledge of fashion retail and garment design principles.
• Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques to enhance skills and service offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tailoring or garment alterations is preferred (minimum of 2 years of professional experience).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
• Knowledge of fashion retail concepts and garment construction processes is a plus.
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
