Sunny Side is taking applications for afternoon assistant teachers. Earn money while playing with children! Applicants should have a warm nurturing and friendly personality. Be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and relate well with children. The primary caregiver of a classroom is responsible for the supervision and care of the children in their rooms. Teachers work closely with their children implementing lesson plans, providing developmentally appropriate activities and building classroom structure. The teacher is responsible for ensuring that the other teachers with them are working as a team and giving continual care for in the classroom. **Sunny Side is a for-profit childcare center. We serve children from birth to 5 years of age. We are a 4 star facility that uses learning through play based curriculum. All teachers will be trained in Teaching Strategies. We are a child care center that strives to not only teach children but to care for them.
Background check, TB test, medical exam by first day of hire. Experience is preferred but not required. Scholarships provided for staff who would like to proceed with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Teachers will be trained in ITS-SIDS, CPR/FIRST AID, & Child Maltreatment/Abuse.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
