Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper(s) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces and possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to ensure that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. Full Time and Part Time Summer Position (April-Sept) available at Sunny Slope Golf Course in New Berlin. We need individual(s) who can help maintain the landscaping (grass cutting, trimming, brush cutting and removal, cleaning etc.). You must be able to operator or able to learn to operate landscape equipment (mowers, weed eaters, blowers, etc) 60% is cutting grass on a riding lawn mowers, up to 40 hours a week available until the end of September/October. Flexible times from 5:00 am - 6:00 pm. $14:00 an hour to start.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care duties including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass on the fairways and greens.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration of plants.
- Assist in planting, pruning, and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the overall appearance of the grounds.
- Conduct routine inspections of the landscape to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition by performing regular cleaning and minor repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools related to landscaping tasks.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, plants a plus but not required to start.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong physical stamina.
- Good communication skills And be able to follow instruction.
