Gas Station Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Gas Station Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. You will assist with fuel sales, convenience store transactions, and maintain a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with fueling their vehicles.
• Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash transactions and credit card payments.
• Maintain knowledge of store products to effectively sell items in the convenience store.
• Ensure that all areas of the gas station, including restrooms and store shelves, are clean and well-stocked.
• Monitor fuel levels and report any discrepancies or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist in training new staff members on cash handling procedures and customer service best practices.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, utilizing effective phone etiquette when necessary.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling and register operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus but not mandatory.
